MovingWriting: Embodied Expressive Writing

In MovingWriting workshops, we play with movement/dance and words to help us connect with our deep and creative selves, in the company of a supportive circle. Giving voice to our own stories and witnessing the stories of others brings healing, aliveness, and connection with others.

We begin by moving to music in whatever way calls you. There’s no way to do this wrong! We then gather and write in response to an offered prompt. Then we dance a little more, and write a little more, and share our writing with each other along the way. No moving or writing experience is necessary. Bring a journal or notebook, pens, and a willingness to step into something new.
