Hand-made Gifts: Create Your Own Heirloom Pendant!
Located in the Painting/Drawing Studio at SebArts
Do you enjoy creating hand-made gifts for your loved ones? Learn how to work with beautiful vitreous (glass) enamel colors fired on fine silver and set in sterling silver. We will texture (using stamps) and dome fine silver discs. Enamel will be applied to the surface by wet packing the enamels (a mixture of water and enamel powder).
It takes several firings to build and blend your colors and 24k gold foil can be incorporated. The enamel jewels will be set in sterling settings with the possible addition of gemstones to create a unique pendant or earrings that will become Heirloom Jewels.
The enamel kiln is courtesy of a grant by the Enamellist Society.
