This is an opportunity to trade surplus items from your garden for something you don’t have. You may also bring produce that you have gleaned (with permission of course) from a neighbor’s yard. Master Food Preservers will be hand at the Produce Exchange/Donation events to answer questions and new this year\, they will provide recipes and samples during tabling. DESCRIPTION:A Sebastopol-based veterinarian journeys throughout Sonoma and Napa Counties\, providing free animal care to help domestic violence survivors and their pets escape abuse together. Meet Mikko\, who endured domestic violence for years\, but had her dog as a source of unconditional love and strength. There is an underreported barrier preventing survivors from escaping their abusive partners and bringing their beloved animals with them. Witness veterinarian Dr. Sarah Reidenbach as she journeys to meet survivors and their pets in a retrofitted ambulance\, attempting to eliminate that barrier and shed light on the importance of the human-animal bond in crisis situations. \nCreated by the UC Berkeley School of Journalism\, the film’s creators will be present at the screening\, as well as the founders of non-profit Ruthless Kindness. The 22 minute film will be followed by a Q&A with the founders. Enjoy the Rialto’s large food and wine menu while you watch and support a good cause.

SUMMARY:Fall Flowers - Watercolor Workshop & Farm-to-Table Meal
DESCRIPTION:Join local artist Hannah Day at Bohemian Flower Farm this fall for a one-day watercolor workshop and farm-to-table meal. Bohemian is a flower and vegetable farm located in Occidental\, across the highway from Wildflower Bakery. The farm is known for their colorful arrangements filled with unique flowers and foliage\, and for their farmstand that sells their produce alongside their bouquets\, wreaths\, and fresh lemonade. The class will gather in the farm’s old barn\, around a large wooden farm table filled with autumnal abundance – colorful straw flowers and beautiful heirloom gourds – to paint a fall still life. Participants will work step by step through rendering our subjects with close observation\, foundational drawing skills\, and watercolor technique. With a mix of demonstration and individual instruction\, artists of all experience levels can walk away with a meaningful creative experience. After painting\, you will enjoy lunch\, prepared by farmer Bree and made from produce grown on the farm.

DESCRIPTION:BODY PRAYER IS A FACILITATED EVENT DEVOTED TO INQUIRY INTO EMBODIED CONSCIOUSNESS THROUGH MOVEMENT. \nThis class is offered every Sunday morning\, and led by Zuza Engler or another teacher. It is usually attended by a vibrant & diverse bunch of welcoming and friendly people\, some of whom have practiced Soul Motion® for years\, while some ~ never before. \nWhat to expect \nGuidance and structure are part of every week’s class as we travel across the four landscapes of Soul Motion®:\nDance Infinite (prayer space)\nDance Community (ensemble)\nDance Communion (duet)\nDance Intimate (solo) \nPractices\, structures\, and points of view are offered to facilitate the journey. Participants are invited to travel across all landscapes\, not just their favorite one: dancing by oneself\, in duet\, in ensemble with several people and eventually the whole room\, or witnessing in stillness the beauty of another’s or of everyone’s dance. \nBody Prayer offers a place to be safely uncomfortable as we experiment with ourselves and with each other in our awkward and magnificent dance at the edge of possibility. \nNo experience necessary! Everyone welcome!
