DESCRIPTION:Using finely-beaten\, pigmented paper pulp\, students will make imagery on freshly pulled sheets of handmade paper. Participants will learn introductory handmade paper techniques such as Western sheet formation\, as well as surface design methods of pulp painting\, stenciling\, and inclusions. When dried\, pulp paintings are a part of the paper itself! Elements such as photos\, hair\, leaves\, and newspaper clippings can be embedded into newly made sheets of paper or by using methyl cellulose as an adhesive. \nPlease be aware that papermaking is a wet activity – wear clothing and shoes that can get wet. Class involves some physical activity\, including standing and arm movements. All supplies are provided through the materials fee. La maestra habla español.

DESCRIPTION:Music\, Dinner\, Dancing\, Raffle\, Live and Silent Auctions. Dinner includes the freshest 1-1/2 lb lobster plus shrimp\, sausages\, potatoes\, corn\, leeks\, salad\, dessert and appetizers. Wine\, beer & cocktails included. \nThis is Sebastopol Rotary club’s major Fundraising event of our 102nd year. Help to support youth leadership\, scholarship\, and other educational programs such as Mark Sell Teacher Grants\, Learn to Swim for second graders in West Sonoma County\, Cool Kids Camp for physically or emotionally abused children 8-12 years old\, and much more!! SUMMARY:Soul Motion®: Body Prayer every Sunday in person
DESCRIPTION:BODY PRAYER IS A FACILITATED EVENT DEVOTED TO INQUIRY INTO EMBODIED CONSCIOUSNESS THROUGH MOVEMENT. \nThis class is offered every Sunday morning\, and led by Zuza Engler or another teacher. It is usually attended by a vibrant & diverse bunch of welcoming and friendly people\, some of whom have practiced Soul Motion® for years\, while some ~ never before. \nWhat to expect \nGuidance and structure are part of every week’s class as we travel across the four landscapes of Soul Motion®:\nDance Infinite (prayer space)\nDance Community (ensemble)\nDance Communion (duet)\nDance Intimate (solo) \nPractices\, structures\, and points of view are offered to facilitate the journey. Participants are invited to travel across all landscapes\, not just their favorite one: dancing by oneself\, in duet\, in ensemble with several people and eventually the whole room\, or witnessing in stillness the beauty of another’s or of everyone’s dance. \nBody Prayer offers a place to be safely uncomfortable as we experiment with ourselves and with each other in our awkward and magnificent dance at the edge of possibility. \nNo experience necessary! Everyone welcome!
