DESCRIPTION:Notice\nIn 2023 The Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS) hosted two community outreach workshops to provide a comprehensive overview of an Approach Feasibility Study authored by consulting firm Cignus\, a transportation management and engineering company. Cignus was hired to perform an Approach Feasibility Study to understand the current airspace and procedures serving STS\, so that they can further study the viability and practicality of developing new procedure(s) or modifying existing ones. The study aims to ensure that the proposed new procedures (if any) meet safety\, regulatory\, operational\, and technical requirements. \nHaving evaluated all flight procedures serving STS\, and reviewed all existing obstructions\, existing flight track data\, noise and operational complaints and limitations (if any) of the current procedures\, the next step will be the development of new or revised procedures while evaluating impact on Airport traffic\, airspace\, regulatory requirements\, and to the extent possible any associated environmental and noise impacts. \nEach workshop presented the same material and was hosted in person and via Zoom Webinar. All community members were welcome to attend. A court reporter took comments from community members. Comments were also be submitted online from November 1st\, 2023 to November 15th\, 2023. \nAfter working with Cignus\, the FAA\, and members of the community\, The Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS) will be hosting a second set of community workshops on October 2nd and October 3rd\, 2024\, from 6pm-8pm. \nOctober 2nd\, 6-8pm \nAnaly High School Gymnasium\, Sebastopol \n6950 Analy Ave\, Sebastopol\, CA 95472 \nOctober 3rd\, 6-8pm \nVintners Resort\, Santa Rosa \n4350 Barnes Rd\, Santa Rosa\, CA 95403 \nThese workshops will provide an opportunity for interested citizens to view in-depth information gathered during the course of the approach study. The approach study was commissioned to analyze air traffic patterns and make recommendations on safe and noise-sensitive approaches and departures. \nIn addition to the in-person workshops the Airport will also be hosting these workshops as a webinar for the presentation portion of the workshop. The webinar link and further information will be posted as it becomes available.

SUMMARY:2024 PLANT SPIRIT TALK WISDOM EXCHANGE CONFLUENCE: Exploring the Intersections of Plant Medicine\, Stewardship and Spirituality
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day filled with learning\, community care\, connection\, and celebration while exploring plants\, healing\, stewardship\, and spirituality. \nOffering a wide range of over a dozen immersive areas and workshops to choose from\, including medicine making\, herbal experientials\, dream work\, rituals\, meditations\, herb walks\, land stewardship circle\, and more! Participants will choose their flow and pace for the day and be nurtured in mind\, body\, and soul. \nIn addition to a range of classes from a diverse lineup of multi-generational and multi-cultural instructors\, we will have several community care areas to unwind\, connect\, and commune with other participants and the land such as: \nTea Lounge: Relax\, commune\, and enjoy herbal infusions while sitting under the cedar tree in community with the spirit of the plants. \nEarth Altaring: Connect with your heart and with your prayers as we collectively create an offering of beauty for our earth mama \nHerbal Foot Bath: Take a moment to rest\, heal\, and replenish with an herbal foot bath made with your plants of choice.\nKid’s Herbal Play Hub: A supervised kid’s immersive area with herbal explorations\, potion making\, games\, art-making and more! \nEnjoy our wellness market pop up\, featuring local herbalists\, makers\, and curated crafts. Not to be missed! Stop by the Elixir Bar and delight on an herbal health/mood-boosting tonic\, and check out our Silent Auction to bid on amazing products and experiences from our dear sponsors. All proceeds go to the PST BIPOC love fund. \nThe gathering will take place in a beautiful private community\, whose intentions are centered around ethical land stewardship and earth-based spirituality\, situated on 15 acres of land in lush West Sonoma County. Any questions contact Ginny at myosho@sonic.net. \nABOUT MYOSHO GINNY MATTHEWS\nMyosho Ginny Matthews finds her life’s support in the three pillars of family\, spiritual practice\, and her work as a dancer/choreographer and teacher. She was a student of Kyozan Joshu Sasaki\, Roshi for 40 years taking ordination in 2000 and supporting Myoko Ni Sorin\, a women’s practice center\, co-founding Dharma Heart Center and leading women’s retreats at various centers in the USA and Canada. Concurrently she has had a 50 year career as a professional dancer/choreographer/teacher and is the director of Downtown Dance/Art Space in Sebastopol. She is a graduate of the Sati Center’s Buddhist Chaplaincy program and continues to serve her extended Buddhist sangha as well as her local community. Her marriage of 52 years\, 3 adult sons\, and 3 grandchildren provide a rich and deep family life.
