These individuals left their fields and businesses at a moment’s notice to respond to emergencies. Today\, organizations use modern equipment and technology to provide emergency services to our region. A free talk by longtime firefighter will share the evolution and history from those early days to the present. Jack Piccinni\, who has fought fires in Sebastopol for over fifty years\, will share his stories and perspective from a lifetime of keeping us safe.  This free lecture is a project from the Western Sonoma County Historical Society.

DESCRIPTION:Join a cadre of enthusiastic volunteers in preserving and maintaining the Luther Burbank Experiment Farm every Wednesday from 9am to noon. We need volunteers across the spectrum of gardening\, leading tours\, showing people around the cottage\, selling items at the cottage gift shop\, and more! All skill and ability levels welcome.
