SUMMARY:Science Buzz Cafe # 572 WHAT'S YOUR Story? Live On-Stage - Stories from Life: Dr. Harry Simms; Larry Robinson; Dr. Allan Bernstein - You Are Invited to Tell Your Story
DESCRIPTION:WHAT’S YOUR Story? Everyone Has a Story – Got 5 Minutes?\nYou Are Invited to Tell Your Story\nBut First Live On-Stage – Stories from Life:\nThe Impossible from Dr. Harry Simms A Reflective Gem from Larry Robinson Adventure Story with Dr. Allan Bernstein \nYour first date\, first job\, a hitchhiking story\, a lifesaving or a laughing story? \n“The soul-substance of our life has been created by the people and circumstances of the past.” \nWhether telling stories about the lives of others or one’s own life\, storytelling is a playful social tool for harvesting the fruits of life’s experience – exploring the science and mystery of human connection\, memory and gesture. Sharing part of the personal story of others who have influenced us long ago\, offers a doorway into a deeper understanding of the gift’s others have given us in the past\, whether trials or celebrations. \nStorytelling around campfires enabled ancient ancestors to pool and share information about baffling problems that faced the village: wolves attacking\, crops failing\, or harsh weather prevailing. Today\, it is often the virtual fire of the social media around which we gather to tell and listen the World story. What is it saying? \nBRINGING SCIENCE & STORYTELLING BACK INTO CULTURE …\n(707) 292-5281 • daniel@economicbuzzcafe.com • www.sciencebuzzcafe.org \nDiscover the Bard Within and Widen Your Horizon!

SUMMARY:Talk with Your Mouth Full - Monthly Dinner Series: Built for Families\, Open to Everyone
DESCRIPTION:St. Stephen’s monthly dinner series returns on Thursday\, July 30th\, offering families an easy\, stress-free way to connect\, enjoy a great meal\, and learn together. We designed these gatherings specifically around the needs of busy families with young children — which is why the event starts early at 5 pm and includes a free dinner and complimentary childcare for all attendees. Anyone is welcome to attend. Please RSVP before July 23 – https://forms.gle/doPdEeiwbqQCApCEA so we can make sure there is enough food! \nJuly Focus: Gender and Identity 101\nThis month\, we are thrilled to welcome speakers from Positive Images who will present their Gender and Identity 101 workshop. \nThis supportive session is designed to help parents\, caregivers\, and community members better understand and support LGBTQIA+ youth. Participants will learn about gender identity\, sexual orientation\, pronouns\, and inclusive language\, while gaining practical tools to create affirming spaces where young people feel seen\, supported\, and empowered. \nSt. Stephen’s mission with this series is to provide an accessible space to form friendships and deepen community bonds. There is absolutely no expectation of joining the church. We believe that we don’t all need to be on the same journey\, spiritual or otherwise\, to learn from one another and be good neighbors. We hope the connections made here will continue to grow at Wylde Provisions Cafe + Playground and throughout our wider community! \nWhen: Thursday\, July 30th-dinner at 5 pm\, speaker5:45 pm \nWhere: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church\, 500 Robinson Road\, Sebastopol \nPerks: Free dinner and free childcare provided. \nRSVP: Required by Thursday\, July 23rd.
