DESCRIPTION:BODY PRAYER IS A FACILITATED EVENT DEVOTED TO INQUIRY INTO EMBODIED CONSCIOUSNESS THROUGH MOVEMENT. \nThis class is offered every Sunday morning\, and led by Zuza Engler or another teacher. It is usually attended by a vibrant & diverse bunch of welcoming and friendly people\, some of whom have practiced Soul Motion® for years\, while some ~ never before. \nWhat to expect \nGuidance and structure are part of every week’s class as we travel across the four landscapes of Soul Motion®:\nDance Infinite (prayer space)\nDance Community (ensemble)\nDance Communion (duet)\nDance Intimate (solo) \nPractices\, structures\, and points of view are offered to facilitate the journey. Participants are invited to travel across all landscapes\, not just their favorite one: dancing by oneself\, in duet\, in ensemble with several people and eventually the whole room\, or witnessing in stillness the beauty of another’s or of everyone’s dance. \nBody Prayer offers a place to be safely uncomfortable as we experiment with ourselves and with each other in our awkward and magnificent dance at the edge of possibility. \nNo experience necessary! DESCRIPTION:Family Fun: Monster Makers with Clay\n$40.00\nSunday\, August 10\, 2025; 10:30am – 1 pm \n$35 + $5 (Recycled Clay) \nLocated in the Painting/Drawing Studio at SebArts \nA guided handbuilding experience. Transform clay into a one-of-a-kind little friend\, using your imagination\, and your sense of humor! \nThis class is suitable for ages 6 to adult and tailored to a family-friendly environment. For children under the age of 10\, we recommend having an older sibling or adult register to join us and make a monster\, too! \nAbout the Instructor: From her earliest memories\, Jenny Lauck has always loved making little odd ball friends\, using a variety of mediums. After too many years without a creative outlet\, Jenny took ceramics courses at Santa Rosa Junior College. As soon as she got her hands on the clay again\, simple shapes started to develop personalities of their own\, and families of ceramic monsters were born. Jenny is the Saturday morning facilitator for the Sebastopol Center for the Arts Ceramics Studio.
