SUMMARY:Sonoma County Art Trails
DESCRIPTION:Sonoma County Art Trails\, one of the oldest juried annual Open Studio tours in the country\, is celebrating its 40th year. This fall\, 124 professional local artists from Healdsburg to Petaluma and Sonoma to the Coast will welcome visitors into their studios to see the paintings\, prints\, drawings\, mixed media art\, jewelry\, sculpture\, photography\, fiber arts\, ceramics\, glass\, and woodworking that make Sonoma County an art destination. \nTwo weekends of October – 19 – 20 and 26-27\, visitors can plan their own tour using the full-color Collector’s Guide (available in print and digital online). The self-guided tour and the Collector’s Guide are FREE! To locate the art studios and see an image of their work\, download the guide at www.SonomaCountyArtTrails.org or pick up a print version at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts\, 282 S. High Street\, Sebastopol\, CA 95472\, and at stores and galleries throughout the County. Then follow the blue signs posted around the county that direct visitors to each studio. The Art Trails Preview Exhibit features a piece of work by each of the participating artists\, taking place at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. The Opening Reception will be on Saturday\, September 28\, from 2-4pm\, and the show continues through October 27th. Additional smaller Preview Exhibits will be at Corrick’s and My Daughter the Framer in Santa Rosa\, Gallery One in Petaluma\, and Bodega Art Gallery. Collector’s Guides are also available at these locations. \nEXPLORE the beauty of Sonoma County’s wine country as the vineyards take on their fall colors. ENGAGE with the artists\, observe their process\, and learn what inspires them. COLLECT art directly from the artists who create it. \nSonoma County Art Trails Open Studios event is a program of Sebastopol Center for the Arts and takes place Saturday and Sunday\, October 19 – 20 and October 26 – 27. DESCRIPTION:The Luther Burbank Experiment Farm in Sebastopol is celebrating fall harvest 2024 with free activities on Saturday\, October 19th\, from 11 AM to 2 PM. With support from Slow Food Russian River\, The Press Fest 2024 will feature apple tasting\, demos of apple pressing using an antique apple press\, community reservation-based apple pressing on the only free press in the United States\, garden walks\, docent tours\, plant sales\, expert gardening talks\, live music\, and more! The nursery sales will include fruit trees and perennials\, and advice in building your productive and beautiful 2025 garden. The cider press will be operating from 11 am onwards\, apple tasting will start at 11:30 AM. Music from local folk band Jam Nation will begin at noon\, and an expert talk on fruit tree care will begin at 1 PM. Join us to celebrate and help build our green future together!
