In this workshop you will learn how to torch-fire enamel flowers using pre-made shapes and stampings. Nancy Hamilton will show you how to create your own soldering mandrels for holding your floral shapes and you will also learn the secret to adding enamel to brass or bronze.
For the enameling portion of the workshop, we will employ the butane torch and lead-free, glass enamel, to add color to our floral shapes. We will discuss counter-enameling and methods for creating and attaching your enameled pieces.
Torch-fired enameling is immediate, requires a minimal investment in tools and materials and is super easy to learn.
