Speaker, Craig Downer is the author of Wild Horse Conspiracy. This talk gets to the heart of the crisis today concerning the disappearing living species. It deals with the nature of our interrelationships; how we are all interrelated in indispensable ways. And, this applies to relations among individuals as well as those among species. Part biographical exposé, part call for the restoration and defense of wilderness (and humanity) this talk is an eloquent plea for humans to show both understanding and compassion for all sentient beings in recognition of why we are all here together.

Craig Downer is a descendant of Nevadan pioneers. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Ecology at the University of California-Berkeley, and his Masters of Science degree in Biology (specializing in Wildlife Ecology) at the University of Nevada-Reno. He has written a number of books and articles concerning the wild horses of America and the endangered Mountain Tapirs of the northern Andes, and is the first biologist ever to have radio-tracked the latter.
