Stone Setting Class: Prong Setting
A great way to glam up your jewelry and learn new skills!
This workshop will take place over two days (3/14 and 3/15). During that time you will learn how to make the “basket” for a stone, aka “prong setting.” You’ll find this type of setting on many pieces of jewelry like wedding rings and diamond earrings. Once you’re done with your fabulous setting, you will learn how to solder it to a larger piece of metal without melting it.
This class is for intermediate students: Must have hands-on knowledge of soldering and feel comfortable using a torch
Kit fee $10.00 and is made payable to instructor day of class. Sterling wire and CZ’s will be provided and are part of the kit fee.
Bring an apron, closed-toed shoes, a way to tie back long hair, and an N95 particulate mask.
