Western Sonoma County Historical Society Quarterly Meeting

The guest speaker for the first Quarterly Meeting of 2019 will be Michael Von der Porten, who will be speaking about the history of Drakes Bay. In 1579 and 1603 Europeans visited Drakes Bay. There are many stories which have come out of those visits. Which stories are true? Which are false? Regardless of whether they are true or false, others are certainly fun. Mike will challenge those who attend with several of these scenarios.
Mike has been associated with the Drake story in California since age two. He is Vice-president of the Drake Navigators Guild and Treasurer of the Sonoma County Historical Society.
Members and others who are interested are encouraged to attend. This event is free.
