Graton Map Your Neighborhood Workshop – Disaster Protection
Neighbors helping neighbors
Help organize your neighbors so you can support each other in the event of an emergency
The “Map Your Neighborhood Program” (MYN) provides 9 easy steps to identifying and organizing neighborhood needs, skills and steps necessary to protect the lives and property of those around you. You receive guidance on introducing the MYN Program into your neighborhood as well as basic materials needed to connect with your neighbors.
As we saw during the time of the fires in October 2017, it was neighbors helping neighbors that made a huge difference in saving lives. The Map Your Neighborhood Program is designed to help each of us take proven protective actions to make an even bigger difference next time.
The Map Your Neighborhood Program primarily focuses on residential neighborhoods but is easily adapted to more rural areas also. Residents in the immediate area of Graton are encouraged to attend.
Come to the 6/24 meeting to find out more.
For planning purposes, it would help if interested volunteers could contact Skip Jirrels (Public Safety Outreach Coordinator) ahead of time at email@example.com
