DOUBLE TALK + THE GROOVE IS NOT TRIVIAL : a documentary pairing

Terrific double bill for the conclusion of this Best-of-the-Fest documentary series. Both filmmakers of these award winners will be in the house to speak with the audience after the screenings.

The short, ‘Double Talk’ is the story of actor Joan Pera, the onscreen voice of Woody Allen and countless others. Director Jessica Bernstein-Wax follows his story as Pera dubs the original films into Catalan and Spanish while his son looks on.

Feature Director Tommie Dell Smith captures the irrepressible fiddler Alasdair Fraser’s global odyssey from his native Scotland to California and on to Spain in ‘Groove’
