Kayatta is an American rapper, poet, producer, and educator who grew up in the drug-tattered streets of West Oakland. Over the years, she has developed into an all-around talent who is skilled on stage and highly effective in the classroom and on the boards. Recently crowned the best Hip Hop artist in Sonoma, Kayatta continues to push the envelope socially, creatively, and dutifully. Effortlessly fusing poetry with drums and bass to create sonic goodness that seethes with audacious musical honey. However, influenced by Mc Lyte, Lauryn, Nas, Audre, and Tupac. Kayatta has created a sound that is hers alone.
Currently residing in Berkeley, California, Kayatta has continued to enrich her fanbase and community with stories that speak to the soul and the human experience. Stories are woven with authenticity and vulnerability in a healing and spiritual way. This approach has created a musical experience for all to enjoy and be moved by.
Erica Ambrin is an ever evolving Hip-Hop Soul artist from Northern California. Growing up in Los Angeles with a DJ father, Ambrin’s eclectic taste in music influences her writing – giving you vibes of Erykah Badu, The Fugees, and The Alabama Shakes. Ambrin’s unique dynamics fuse soulful vocals with deeply personal lyrics that draw the audience in for an intimate experience. In addition to her solo career, Erica Ambrin birthed “The Eclectic Soul Project”, a collective of musicians formed in 2015 while recording Ambrin’s debut EP “Suga”.
Ambrin has performed all over California and has had the pleasure of opening for iconic bands such as Nappy Roots, The Wailers, Martin Luther, and Anuhea. After gaining popularity as a contestant on American Idol, Ambrin moved to Maui to record her first hip-hop project “Lucid Dreamer”, released in 2018. “With R&B and jazz undertones, Ambrin spins lyrical narratives that are romantic, vulnerable, and insightful.” – Terry Roland, The Journal of Roots Music. Erica Ambrin is currently back in Northern California working on recording two new albums.
Born and raised in the rough streets of Smiths Station, Alabama, Damion Square always had a love for music. He first discovered his talent for rap at the young age of 16, and has been perfecting his craft ever since.
Growing up, D.square was heavily influenced by DMX, Lauryn Hill, 2pac, Nas, and Nipsey Hussle which is evident in his unique style and flow. In 2018, he released his debut mixtape, N.I.G.G.A Spirituals Vol. 1, which quickly gained a loyal following and caught the attention of keen Hip-Hop heads across the Bay Area.
Since then, D.square has released several successful projects, including Strugg Life EP, Dumb Down (Single), Inflation (Single), Yolo Funds (Single), and his upcoming project Shadow Work EP, which has already garnered lots of streams from the few singles that have been released and landed him on stages across the North Bay. He has worked with top artists in the Bay Area including Mistah Fab, Nef the Pharaoh, Stunnaman02, and has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Rap game.
In addition to his music career, D.square is also a dedicated promoter and community organizer and uses his platform to raise awareness and support for important social issues such as mental wellness, racism, and economic inequality.
With his unique sound and socially conscious message, D.square is quickly becoming one of the most promising and influential artists in the Bay Area.
