A Musical Event With John Wubbenhorst and Friends

John is an internationally known flutist/composer known for his fluency with the western flute and the North Indian bansuri (bamboo flute), which he learned from the great bansuri maestro Hariprasad Chaurasia. The sound of the bansuri is deeply healing, mystical, and grounding. The composer of the “Facing East” group, John will be accompanied by Gina Macioce on vocal and keyboard and Eric “Doc” Smith on the electronic “ZenDrum,” which incorporates many world music drum sounds. Gina has spent the last decade with several great vocal masters as well as years of deep meditation practice with a spiritual guru. There will be ample discussion about their music and how it enhances spiritual practice.
