1st Friday Ecstatic Dance Sebastopol – DJ Haj feat. Kai Altair

The Ecstatic Dance musical journey starts slowly for stretching and gradually quickens – taking you on a rhythmic wave where you’ll dance hard and sweat, slowing down again, ending with a sound bath and short meditation.

DJ Haj is a globally minded DJ with bass inclinations, he mixes his own unique blend of Coyote-Space-Hop, International Freekbeatz and other floor rumbling hi-jinx. Reaching into the past and looking to the future, Haj has a storied history of creating and DJ’ing transformational ecstatic events. With musical roots that run deep – he is a co-founder of Sub Swara, Freek Factory and resident DJ of Body Temple in NYC..

His current project Aazav, with partner Kai Altair, is a blend of celestial medicine songs and modern production. She will be joining him during his set to perform a couple of their original creations. Kai will also be offering a sound bath at the end to close the circle. Kai Altair is a classically trained musician and vocalist of both eastern and western lineages. She is devoted to a path that weaves sacred songwriting, electronic music production, and ceremonial trance states to invite communion between our planet & benevolent allies from other realms.
